Biography

At Alfred University, Dr. Cox teaches writing courses including Writing 1, Technical Communications, and Business Writing, bringing twenty years of teaching experience to his students. Throughout his career, he has provided an array of courses in academic writing, professional writing, literature and literary theory, and pedagogy. Dr. Cox is the author of one book, Postmodern Tales of Slavery (Garland, 2001). His academic interests include nineteenth- and twentieth-century narrative, rhetoric and composition, and professional communication. Having lived and taught abroad, he has ample experience in teaching non-native speakers, and he is tolerably conversant in French and Swedish.
